The American Civil War lasted from 1861 to 1865. It was between the Confederate States and the United States. The Confederate States consisted of South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. The United States consisted of California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin at the time. |
